“Relationship Goals” is a new take on the perspectives of love and career, and the complexities when the two collide. Prime Video officially unveiled the first trailer for the romantic comedy, starring Kelly Rowland and Clifford “Method Man” Smith. The film holds promise to be the season’s must-watch title for audiences to navigate the modern dating scene. “Relationship Goals” was written by Laura Lekkos, Michael Elliot, Cory Tynan, produced by DeVon Franklin, p.g.a, and included executive producers Bart Lipton, Michael Todd, and Kelly Rowland. The film was inspired by the NYT Best-Selling Novel, “Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, & Sex” by Michael Todd, and directed by Linda Mendoza.
The plot of “Relationship Goals” follows a brilliant TV producer, Leah Caldwell (Kelly Rowland), who is about to make history as the first woman to run New York’s top morning show, and her ex, Jarrett Roy (Clifford Smith), competes for the same position. He claims he’s a changed man, transformed by the wisdom of the New York Times best-selling book ‘Relationship Goals.’ Soon her tight circle of friends dives into the same life-changing book and begins to rediscover and aim for love. However, Leah is focused on breaking through the glass ceiling and isn’t ready to believe in finding love— even as the chemistry between her ex is undeniable and threatens to reignite old flames.

The film features a powerhouse supporting cast, including stars Robin Thede, Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert, and Matt Walsh. “Relationship Goals” balances sharp workplace comedy with a deep exploration of self-discovery.
