San Diego-based artist Star2 is a rising pop sensation whose infectious musical styles and honest storytelling reflect his remarkable journey. As a courageous and hopeful refugee from Thailand, Star2 began his life in a Thai refugee camp where he was forced to flee genocide from the Burmese army in Myanmar. After his village burned down, a lottery in the camp brought him to San Diego, where he began a new life with his family. Star2 brought with him his grandmother and her four children before turning to a career in music.
Now, under the mentorship of esteemed producer Chico Bennett, he has done collaborations with acclaimed rappers. This includes Soulja Boy, $tupid Young, Mozzy, MBNel, Luh Kel, Lil Poppa, HoodTrophy Bino, YSN Flow, and MarMar Oso to name a few. As an influential figure in Asian-American music, Star2 entwines heartfelt stories with captivating visuals. His single “Lies” is the holiday break-up track no one knew they needed.
