In a groundbreaking collaboration that merges art, cycling, and social impact, the Nigel Sylvester Foundation has partnered with JOOPITER, Pharrell Williams’ global digital-first commerce and content platform, to launch the Pedal Forward Artist Bike Auction. This unique initiative features four one-of-a-kind, artist-painted bikes, with net proceeds directly funding the foundation’s Switching Gears program. This six-week course teaches biking basics while promoting mental health and resilience among middle and high school students.
The featured lineup of artists includes Mcflyy & Chelsea B (with support from Arte Haus), Sue Tsai, and iconic graffiti legend Futura. Each bike is a fusion of creativity and purpose, offering collectors a rare opportunity to own a functional work of art while contributing to meaningful change. The bikes will be on display at Billionaire Boys Club’s flagship store in SoHo from September 16–25, aligning with the online auction at JOOPITER.com/PedalForward

Founded in 2021 by professional BMX athlete and philanthropist Nigel Sylvester, the Nigel Sylvester Foundation is dedicated to utilizing biking as a catalyst for empowerment and personal growth. “The Pedal Forward auction is a culmination of art, community, and purpose,” said Sylvester. “Each bike represents a unique journey, and we are so grateful to the artists who contributed their talent to this cause. Their support allows us to provide young people with the tools to navigate life’s challenges and discover the power of the bike.”
Youth mental health challenges are at a critical level, with the CDC reporting that one in four students experiences mental illness. Switching Gears addresses this crisis by encouraging physical activity, community building, and mentorship, all proven to boost mental well-being. Through cycling, students find a sense of freedom, confidence, and joy that extends far beyond the bike path.
