WEtv heated things up with a brand new season of Growing Up Hip Hop. Family feuds reached explosive new heights, a new romance sparked some shady rumors, and two fresh faces joined the cast to shake things up.

Next, butter your popcorn and grab your favorite refreshments because it’s time for a toast! You can celebrate the best names in the film and entertainment industry with Leslie Jones. This comedic genius emceed this year’s event on the MTV Movie & TV Awards

Let’s not forget STARZ! Its newest comedy series is a must-watch! Run The World follows the lives of four Black women working, living, and playing in Harlem—all while striving for world domination. These friends are not only surviving—but thriving together.

Also this year, on May 16th, Grammy award-winning gospel singer Erica Campbell and award-winning journalist Roland Martin hosted the Urban One Honors—an annual event that highlights extraordinary change-makers within the Black community. The theme of this year’s award ceremony was “Women Leading the Change,” a celebration of the exemplary accomplishments of African American/Black women in business, health, politics, and media. This special event premiered live on TV One and its sister network, CLEO TV.

Immediately following the 2021 Urban One Honors, TV One aired part one of a two part special highlighting the final interview of celebrated rap icon, DMX. An Uncensored Special: DMX The Icon spotlighted Ruff Ryders Co-Founder and CEO Joaquin Dean and fellow label mates, Styles P and Drag-On, as they provided insight on his impact on music.
