Leading Hollywood special events group A-List Communications, with its sponsor partners GREY GOOSE® Essences, PAC Protocol, Peroni Beer, and Billionaires Row Champagne, brought their exclusive “Supper Suite” pop-up back to support films at the Festival in June 2021. Filmmakers and select guests toasted a return to live events since the coronavirus pandemic forced film festival cancellations in early 2020. Hosted at newly opened Gerber Group’s restaurant and lounge, Nearly Ninth within the Arlo Midtown, the Supper Suite hosted some of the first social gatherings at the first live and in person film festival post pandemic. It was an exciting resurrection of the time-honored tradition of filmmakers, media, and celebrity cast members joining together again to celebrate their collaborative work and the films they have made. Attending A-List celebrities included Elijah Wood, Katie Holmes, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexandra Shipp, Vinessa Shaw and many more. The curated event schedule ran from June 11 – 15 and included:
Friday, June 11th: Pre-reception and dinner for “NO MAN OF GOD,” directed by Amber Sealey and starring Elijah Wood (Lord of The Rings, Star Wars Resistance), Luke Kirby (Lenny Bruce, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Robert Patrick (Terminator), and Aleska Palladino (The Irishman).
Saturday, June 12th: Red-carpet special screening and after-reception for “ASKING FOR IT” starring Vanessa Hudgens (Rent Live, Bad Boys for Life), Alexandra Ship (X-Men films), Kiersey Clemmons (Lady & The Tramp, The Flash), and Ezra Miller (The Flash).
Sunday, June 13th: Pre-reception for “CATCH THE FAIR ONE” hosted by Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Wrestler) and starring Kali Reis (2021 Oscar winner for Nomadland), Shelito Vincent (boxing world champion), and Tiffany Chu (Ms. Purple, Artificial).
Monday, June 14th: Pre-reception for “12 MIGHTY ORPHANS” starring Luke Wilson (Goldfinch, Zombieland: Double Tap), Vanessa Shaw (3:10 to Yuma), Martin Sheen (The Departed, Apocalypse Now), and Robert Duvall (Open Range, Apocalypse Now). Hosted at BiCE Culina SoHo at 15 Watts Street in SoHo.
Tuesday, June 15th: Pre-reception for Sony Pictures Classics film “I CARRY YOU WITH ME” starring Armando Espitia (Heli), Christian Vasquez (Elysium), Michelle Rodriguez (Emma), and directed by Heidi Ewing.
