For fashion fanatics, the month of September represents more than just the beginning of Fall. 2022’s highly anticipated NYFW will take place during the first full week of the month (Sep. 9-14) and boasts a fantastic lineup of designers, exciting individualized guest experiences, and in-person personalized styling services.
Those interested in attending NYFW can purchase individual passes to exclusive designer shows. While each day of the event boasts an impressive number of exclusive runway shows and experiences featuring today’s hottest luxury designers and brands, some of the most eagerly anticipated shows showcase collections by Bronx and Banco (Sep. 9), Alice + Olivia (Sep. 10), Badgley Mischka (Sep. 11), Bidhu Mohapatra (Sep. 12), and The Blonds (Sep. 14). NYFW also offers an all-access package, which allows individuals to attend multiple runaway shows and affords them access to additional content and experiences.
Fendi, the Italian luxury fashion and accessory brand, will be celebrated uniquely during NYW this year as 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the praised baguette bag. The brand will host a special runway show on the first day, September 9th, in honor of this achievement.
This year’s NYFW is extra exciting because it offers fans the opportunity to purchase VIP passes, granting them access to individualized experiences and unique fashion-related activities. Those who receive VIP access to the event are granted pre-event hospitality services, private entrance to certain activities, and an all-inclusive travel planning experience. These special guests will also have the opportunity to meet with some of today’s hottest designers at their runway shows and attend extremely exclusive after-parties on an invite-only basis.
The expected presence of established and lauded labels and brands at NYFW this year is certainly exciting. However, the event is also a chance for smaller designers and labels to gain public interest and attract potential customers. By highlighting and offering a platform to new-generation designers, like Barragán, Batsheva, LaQuan Smith, Luar, and Willy Chavarria, NYFW hopes to reenergize the fashion scene, draw attention to diverse voices, and raise up lesser-known artists and fashion creatives.
While 2022’s NYFW is going to be an in-person event, located on 50 Varick Street, the Council of Fashion Designers of America announced that each runway show will also be presented virtually via Runway 360 Visual Hub. Fans should also be on the lookout as many designers will likely choose to broadcast their own shows on their brand’s social media accounts.
