( ENSPIRE Music ) Ross’s Single “Look My Way” Was Released on January 27 in Preparation For His New EP “Midnight Microdose”

“Look My Way” is about the thrill associated with the early stages of infatuation. It has undertones of classic R&B music like the early recordings of The Jackson 5. The song has harmonious silky background vocals mixed with dreamy rhythmics. Ross in the song tells the story of falling in love from afar and doing all he can to get a girls attention. The songs clearly influenced by the romance embedded in classic R&B celebrating the iconic influences through a modern perspective.
Ross is a songwriter, producer, singer, performer, and creator of his own music label, Art Society Music Group (ASMG). He is heading to the forefront of the genre with #1 Billboard entries on the Adult R&B Chart, countless sold-out shows, and over 100 million streams across platforms.
“I never wait around for anybody,” he said. “I’m always making music with collaborators and by myself. Producing is part of who I was supposed to be all along as an artist. That’s not just an artist who can sing, but an artist who can write, produce, perform, and execute at the highest level possible in order to deliver to the masses.”
He has received nominations at the Soul Train Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and iHeart Radio Music Awards. He has credits and collaborations with artists that include Ty Dolla Sign, Kevin Hart, Ne-Yo, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, T.I., Tank, Lecrae, and Toni Braxton.
Kevin Ross recalls his first memory of music, listening to Lisa Stansfield’s “All Around The World” from his car seat. From there he grew to obsess over the other popular artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, and Smokey Robinson. After high school at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, he earned a scholarship and degree from Boston’s Berklee College of Music. After he settled in Atlanta working behind the scenes in the industries.
Kevin Ross’ current goal is to keep creating the soundtrack to your life.
“When you listen to me, I hope the music makes you feel something, puts a smile on your face, or provides comfort,” he said.
“It’s much bigger than me. I want you to make memories to these songs. I couldn’t ask for anything else. For me to be complete, I need to write, produce, arrange, mix, and perform on stage to affect people. I feel like I’m doing what I need to do, and this is where I’m meant to be today.”
“Look My Way” is his latest release and the first single from Kevin Ross’ upcoming Midnight Microdose EP.
