Houston native and contemporary R&B artist Coline Creuzot has recently released two new remixes for her single “For Love”. “For Love” was released on July 15th, 2022, and was #23 for 11 weeks on Billboard Adult R&B Charts. The sentimental lyrics give dedication to those who make us feel loved and appreciated. It was the perfect song for those celebrating Valentine’s Day. Coline Creuzot’s song “For Love” has been featured in KPRC 2, FOX 26, Khou, Rolling Stone, Earmilk, and New Music Buzz. Now, there are new remixes to bring freshness and versatility, from lively “Jam Session Remix” to the melancholy soft version. The original soundtrack was lively with New Orleans tones and bounces. The Jam Session Remix, it’s raw and emphasizes her presence, meanwhile, the slower version brought more depth to the sweet lyrics.

Creuzot is a Sony ATV songwriter and takes inspiration from her Houston and New Orleans roots. She loves to tell a story and be raw with her feelings and voice. She is a three-time Billboard Chart singer. In 2016 her single “Truth Is” was #24 on the Billboard Urban A/C Charts. In 2020 her single “You Tried It” was #19 on the Billboard Charts. She has been noticed by BET, Essence, and VIBE. Creuzot has been called “an artist at the forefront” by Ebony Magazine. She discusses her music career, song inspiration, and process, and explains her new remixes and her new EP.

Explain to us about your music career, how it began, and if the music was always something you were passionate about.

I have always loved music and performing. I started singing and writing songs at an early age, was in a few girl groups, and sang in the gospel choir at my high school…Music- singing & writing has always been therapeutic for me. It was something I knew I had wanted to do since I was a little girl.

What inspires your lyrics and sound, is there a special writing process you do?

I am inspired by life itself. My songs are written based on personal experiences. My process usually starts with the music- the track. When I hear the music, it guides me to melody and lyrics.

Why did you decide that remixes were needed for your single “For Love”?

Valentine’s Day was coming up, and I wanted to celebrate LOVE. The song is about my journey to finding love and how it changed my life. I linked up with Javad Day to do an R&B remix so people could experience the song in a new and different way.

What can we expect from your upcoming EP, any themes or focus you have, and why?

I am very excited about the upcoming EP. It has been in the works for some time now- It talks about all things love- the good, the bad, and that space in between. I can’t wait for the world to hear it.

What do you think is the most challenging part about being a music artist?

There have been many many challenges- the most important thing is to keep going and stay true to yourself.

She has worked with Happy Perez (‘Give and Take’), Sam Hook, and G Sparkz. Recently her latest single “That Feeling” (produced by Troy Taylor and G Sparkz) is a sneak peek for her EP. Cruezot has been an opening performer for Drake, Keyshia Cole, and Monica Tank, to name a few.
