Wendy Williams invites viewers into her life after the cancellation of her daytime talk show in Where is Wendy Williams? After the show’s sudden end, she was determined to turn her career around. Williams opens the doors to her private life like never before. The two-part documentary will detail her comeback to reclaim her life and legacy despite facing health issues and personal turbulence. The team behind the documentary filmed Williams and her family for nearly two years to understand the scope of what she was facing behind the scenes. The documentary became a complex project, but Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP and Head of Programming, A&E, Lifetime, and LMN, stated, “Her story is not finished.” This documentary begins a new chapter in Williams’ story.

Where is Wendy Williams? hopes to allow viewers into what the former talk show host has been going through, but also to start a dialogue about mental health and how anyone can struggle in the same way Williams did. She even states, “I’m gonna tell you something, if it happens to me, it could happen to you.” Lifetime hopes to make this message apparent by directing messaging to mylifetime.com/WendyWilliams, which houses a variety of resources for those struggling with both mental and physical illnesses, including SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), NAMI for Mental Health Resources, and information and resources for Graves’s Disease and Lymphedema.

Before the premiere of Williams’ new documentary, Lifetime will air Williams’ biopic, Wendy Williams: The Movie, and her 2021 documentary, Wendy Williams: What a Mess which were both collaborations between Williams and Lifetime as well.

Where is Wendy Williams? will debut on Saturday, February 24 and 25 at 8 pm ET/PT on Lifetime. Find additional information about maintaining mental and physical health on Lifetime’s social media accounts or at mylifetime.com/WendyWilliams. View the official trailer below.
