The 7th Annual Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic offered a thrilling weekend of events from October 11th to 13th. Sponsored by Bentley Atlanta and Fulton County Arts & Culture, the festivities included a Celebrity Boxing Fight Night, a swanky Cocktails & Cigars Under the Stars soiree, and the signature Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic with exciting polo matches and a dazzling fashion show. The star-studded guest list boasted celebrities like Nene Leakes and Peter Thomas from Real Housewives of Atlanta, HGTV’s Mike Jackson, and R&B artist Q. Parker, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
More than just a celebration of fashion and sports, the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic served as a platform for a worthy cause. The event proudly supported the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, a non-profit founded by menswear designer Miguel Wilson. This organization (equestrian non-profit) empowers underrepresented youth by providing educational programs focused on equestrian sports, fashion, and leadership development.
The Ride to the Olympics Foundation provides crucial opportunities for youth interested in the world of equestrianism. One of their most notable achievements is establishing the Morehouse Polo Club, the first-ever polo team at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Through initiatives like this, Wilson and the foundation break down barriers and foster a more inclusive equestrian community.
To commemorate the final year of the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic, Wilson introduced a Celebrity Fight Night, featuring five rounds of boxing alongside a seated dinner, on Friday, October 11, at the Renaissance Hotel. Two-time Emmy Award-winning radio personality Ryan Cameron served as the announcer for the boxing event.
Wilson also expanded Sunday’s polo classic to include the Junior Polo Classic, where young athletes from Atlanta’s B.E.S.T. Academy and the Congressional Polo Club competed before the main polo match.
Wilson said, “Thank you to everyone who played a part in making the 7th Annual Atlanta Fashion and Polo Classic Weekend a huge success. We had a seven-year run, and it’s been full of good times and great memories. So many friendships and relationships were greeted here. I’m forever grateful to you all.”
Sponsors for this year’s Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic include Remy Martin, Titos Vodkah, Rap Snaps, Mercedes Benz of Buckhead, A. Wash and Associates, Atlanta Fibroid Center, St. Royale Vodka, and Granville Group.
