( ENSPIRE Entertainment ) Actor Eli Massillon is Stepping into the Spotlight with Two New Films
Actor Eli Massillon is bringing Harlem To Hollywood with the release of his latest films. The NY native is featured in not one but two star-studded films this spring. His career behind the scenes as a stunt double has pushed him to become a star on the rise front and center, as his hard work has indeed paid off over the years. Growing up in NY, it was never a reality for him that one day he might see himself on the big screen, but this man proves that your dreams can become reality if you work.
As a kid attending Harbor, he could show off his skills as a talented performer in plays and talent shows but that was indeed just the beginning for the budding star who was inspired by some of his favorite actors from classic films and shows including ‘Juice’, ‘New Jack City’, ‘NY Undercover’, ‘Dead Presidents’, ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’, ‘Martin’ & ‘Living Single’. Little did he know that in a few years, he would get one of his first big breaks in television, working alongside one of his favorite comedic stars. But how it all started was truly unexpected as Doug Crosby brought him onto the ‘Black Swan’ set to work with Natalie Portman as one of the stuntmen. This experience alone would open up so many more doors as, within no time, he would work with comedic superstar Tracy Morgan.

Eli was afforded the tremendous opportunity to work alongside the superstar for over 7 seasons as Tracy Morgan’s stunt double on the hit series ’30 Rock, ‘ which allowed him to step into the world of acting in a whole new way. As Eli could read lines with the cast of the hit comedy during table reads and more because of Tracy’s illness at the time, it gave him all the push he needed to take things to the next level. Within no time the rising star started to build up his resumes working on multiple projects with appearances on shows & films including ‘Law & Order SVU’, ‘FBI: Most Wanted’, ‘American Gangster: Trap Queens’, ‘Detachment’ (starring Adrian Brody) and ‘Paraiso Travel’ (starring John Leguizamo). As doors opened, it was clear Eli needed to move to Hollywood to take things to the next level. Still, as soon as he made his way across the country, the world was turned upside down as the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything for the foreseeable future. Now, for most, this would stop many; this just forced him to put in work as he continued to study his craft and take classes until things resumed in the entertainment space.

As he slowly acclimated to his new surroundings, he realized that some doors wouldn’t be opened easily. But with patience, hard work, and dedication, things turned around with new opportunities, which led to him co-starring in two new films. His latest work can be seen in the critically acclaimed comedy ‘Riff Raff’ directed by Dito Montiel, which stars Jennifer Coolidge, Ed Harris, Bill Murray, Pete Davidson, and Gabriel Union. The film, now available on streaming platforms, has audiences buzzing about the ensemble cast. A month later, his newest film, Soul Of A Sister, has just been released on BET Plus. The musical drama, which also stars Paula Jai Parker, Veronika Bozeman, Eric Bellinger, Jason Devon, and Giovanni Watson, recently premised at the Pan African Film Festival in LA, and of course, Eli was in attendance for the special occasion. With raving reviews continuously coming in about his performances and multiple projects on the way, it’s clear to see that one of Harlem’s finest is genuinely taking the world of Hollywood by storm.
