Released on June 12, 2023, Brooklyn’s own Moosie Wins reflects on his personal hardships with his newest single “Here We Go Again.” Moosie’s captivating melodies paint the picture of how to bounce back from losing someone by releasing his emotions on wax in the studio. He exclaims how he wants to love the woman he lost but doesn’t like how she’s stuck in her old ways. “Here We Go Again,” tells two stories of trying to love someone through their repetitive habits and finding himself back in the studio to power through another breakup. In the song, he realizes that he can’t be stuck in the past and has to move forward, even if he doesn’t want to.

What was the motivation behind “Here We Go Again” and why did you want this experience to become a song?
“Here We Go Again” came about from the cycle of turmoil within a relationship. I record how I felt in the moment. I was exhausted by the arguing and toxicity in my relationship. But I was also just expressing the ups and downs of emotions in life. Just going thru a lot of things emotionally. It was also the first song I recorded in a long time, as I was on a hiatus after my dad passed.
Have you ever thought about singing other styles of music besides your rap and R&B blend? If not, why not?
I’ve dabbled in afro beats. I love the vibe that Afro beats gives and it aligns with the type of music I love to create and listen to.
What made you want to become a music artist?
I’ve always been involved in music. And I wanted to be able to create and have control over my own artistry. I used to manage and write for artists, but having a vision and complete control over how it’s executed is what made me want to be an artist. The feeling of creating in the studio, and seeing people enjoy the music you make is a great feeling.
What advice would you give to someone who is going through a similar experience that is depicted in “Here We Go Again”?
Just maintain faith and stay the course. There’s gonna be ups and downs all the time. Bad times don’t last always and, humidity during good times is necessary, cause all emotions and feelings are temporary. But love yourself enough to not voluntarily place your heart in situations that are detrimental to your happiness and well-being.
If you could collaborate with any artist or person to create a song, merch, or anything else, who would you choose and why?
I’d love to collaborate with PND, Drake, Sza, Kanye, there’s many more. But those artists come to mind because those are the artist I listen to and our sounds would mesh well.
As a rising artist, Moosie Wins continues to garner the attention of the world to rise to the top. His release of “Here We Go Again” acts as just one way he works hard to not only move past his negative experiences but also strive from them. He shows that perseverance and the right mindset can bring a kid with a dream to a man with a brand, regardless of any upbringing or obstacles that will come our way.
