A new campaign slay was recently announced with Keke Palmer. The Black-founded hair care brand Creme of Nature has officially announced Palmer as their first Chief of Brand Officer. In Palmer’s recent Instagram post, she emphasizes how she feels connected to the brand. Being from Chicago, from Creme products being in her grandmother’s kitchen to her mom’s bathroom and Palmer’s bedroom, she has used Creme of Nature’s brand for a long time. She brings up the importance of embracing the different phases of hair and wearing a curly style in the workplace now. Keke will not only serve as the face of the brand but also as an on-camera model and spokesperson. She will work closely with the Creme of Nature team to shape product lines, consulting on product innovation and packaging behind the scenes.
Palmer has been a star in over 25 films and 30 TV shows and has broken barriers from a young age. The youngest actress to receive a SAG Award nomination in a leader actor category for her work in “The Wool Cap” at 10, the youngest and first Black Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s iconic musical “Cinderella,” on Broadway. Now, she is the youngest talk show host in history, the first Black woman to be nominated for and win an Emmy for Outstanding Game Show Host for NBC’s “Password.”
Creme of Nature has been a Black-founded and Black-led brand for over 45 years. It started on the South Side of Chicago in 1976 and has evolved the hair care game today, seeking effective ways to nurture curly hair types with the right products.
Palmer aims to influence the brand’s direction, marketing, and storytelling through campaigns that engage and resonate with the multicultural community. The overall mission: to deliver high-quality, effective hair care and styling specifically for curly, coily, and textured hair types. She will make live appearances on behalf of Creme of Nature later this year.
