Last month, the WNBA and State Farm teamed up with Heart of America to unveil a newly renovated wellness room at Facing History School’s West 50th Street Campus in New York City. The event was a part of the State Farm Assist Tracker program, which donates $5 to enhance STEM learning and technology in classrooms and after school programs across the country for every assist made during a regular-season game. Los Angeles Sparks forward Rickea Jackson joined the ribbon-cutting celebration and led a basketball skills clinic for local students, emphasizing the importance of sports and self-care.
The new wellness room is designed to help students prioritize their mental and physical well-being. It includes VR headsets, yoga equipment, noise-canceling headphones, new furniture, and calming wall finishes. At ENSPIRE, we spotlight stories that center community, empowerment, and impact, and this initiative perfectly reflects those values by supporting student wellness and expanding access to mental health resources.

The WNBA and State Farm’s continued commitment to using basketball as a tool for social good is evident in projects like the Assist Tracker Program. For the last three sessions, they have come together to turn on-court assists into off-court assists in communities nationwide. With every pass on the court contributing to real-world change, the organizations reinforce the importance of community investment, youth wellness, and educational support. Together with Facing History and Heart of America, they’re building a brighter, healthier future one assist at a time. Find out more information about the program at their website.
