Healthcare workers are dedicating countless hours and risking their safety in the battle against COVID-19. As this fight continues, increasing demands on food banks has put stress on workers who realize that food donations are running low. On the other hand, restaurants are closed and struggling to stay in business. All of this may sound hopeless, but TastePro, a technology platform that allows people to create custom food tours, has started Feed the Fight which serves as a link between these industries which will allow all to prosper in these uncertain times. Feed the Fight is an initiative aimed to benefit restaurants across Southern California, as well as front line medical workers and food banks.

Feed the Fight collects contributions from community members, uses that money to buy food from local restaurants, then donates those meals to hospitals and food banks. With healthcare staff and food banks overwhelmed and restaurants struggling to keep their doors open, Feed the Fight is a resource that offers support for these issues.

Feed the Fight supports Los Angeles and San Diego healthcare workers, restaurants, and food banks. They currently donate to five healthcare facilities in San Diego and one food bank in Los Angeles. Thus far, hundreds of meals have come from almost 40 restaurants in San Diego and Los Angeles combined. Feed the Fight is continuously looking to add recipients and restaurants to their list.

TastePro does not profit from Feed the Fight, as 100% of proceeds go towards fresh restaurant meals for food banks and healthcare workers. They only hope to play their part now so that once this crisis is over, guests can freely explore and enjoy restaurants once again.
