Artist Eve Returned for New Episode on “UNCENSORED”

TV One’s edgy docu-series, “UNCENSORED,” which explores the private lives of some of today’s most notable personalities, highlights rappers, actors, and TV personalities. Artist and actress Eve had her episode debut last week on Sept. 20th at 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. CT, followed by an encore presentation at 11 p.m. ET/ 10 p.m. CT.

Eve opened up about her trial by fire with the Ruff Ryders, the dynamics of her interracial marriage, and the career-changing decision that led to her first Grammy Award. She talked about her past when she lived in Philadelphia, Pa. with her family. She grew up around music and wanted to continue to start her music career. As a musician, Eve is best known for her music hits “What Y’all Want,” “Gangsta Lovin,” “Who’s that Girl,” “Satisfaction,” “Tambourine,” and “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” featuring Gwen Stefani, which won the inaugural Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2002.

She then turned to an acting career where she’s seen in movies like “xXx” with Vin Diesel, “Barbershop,” “Barbershop 2: Back in Business,” and “Barbershop: The Next Cut with Ice Cube,” “The Cookout” with Queen Latifah and Meagan Good. During her acting career, Eve also started as a talk show host for “The Talk” along with Carrie Ann Inaba, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood.

In the episode, Eve also opened up about her sitcom with her starring as a rising fashion designer balancing the business and dating world. The show ran for three seasons, and Eve revealed that she wasn’t taking it as seriously and handled a lot with being an artist and an actress. She would hang out a night a lot and tried to continue her tour. She also expressed wishing to have done better in the past.

She is also married to British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper, CEO of the Gumball 3000, and is the proud stepmother to four children and mother to a French bulldog, Hendrix. She described how when they were married, both of them acknowledged their differences and learned from one another. One example she gave was when he first saw her with a shower cap and asked her, “Why she was wearing a hat to the shower.”
