Celebrity hairstylist and entrepreneur Ashanti Lation has done it all. From working with top celebrities to building her own brand, Lation has been able to conquer it all. She started styling hair at the age of 15, and this has turned into a beauty empire with a growing line of hair products and a New Orleans based salon.
With over 20 years of experience, Lation has become highly sought out due to her “healthy hair movement” and her renowned styling abilities. She was also the mastermind behind Normani’s hairstyle on the December issue of Women’s Health Magazine using her VIP Luxury Hair Care products.
Lation’s VIP Lux Salon & Hair Boutique is one where everyone is accepted and welcomed. Lation works closely with her team of hairstylists to offer every client the best experience and the best hair. The salon offers a variety of services including but not limited to sew-ins, silk presses, and natural styling.
In a similar fashion, her VIP Luxury Hair Care products are formulated to give hair the necessary help. These products lead to healthier, longer, and thicker hair, and they strive to solve the daily issues women, specifically Black women, face when managing their hair. One of her best-selling products is the ‘GREAUX’ Healthy Hair Drops, which are infused with essential oils and extracts to repair damaged hair cuticles. Along with hair drops, her products include shampoos, conditioners, and detanglers.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the lowered one-on-one time with clients, Lation had time to focus on her family and herself. Lation also placed more emphasis on her VIP Luxury Hair Care products and she has a few surprises stored up for 2021.
