Evvie McKinney’s music is known for the combination of gospel and pop music. Her deep-rooted soul as an artist has her in international claim. In 2018, she competed in the inaugural season of The Four: Battle for Stardom on FOX, and won. In 2022 she was a co-host for the 37th Stellar Gospel Music Awards pre-show alongside Pastor Mike Jr.
Now she Evvie is set to sing The National Anthem at the Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz Heavyweight Boxing Match this Sunday.
On September 2, 2022, Motown Gospel, a gospel music company, announced the pre-order of, Love, Evvie McKinney. This album has been highly anticipated. It’s now available for pre-order here. To top it all off, a brand-new track, “This House” is available for purchase right now.
McKinney’s 2020 debut single, “Bring the Whole Hood,” which was co-written with Meghan Trainor, showcased her powerful vocals and the ideal artist to watch. McKinney’s second single, “Just Like God” blends together soul, rock, R&B, and gospel genres to create a unique sound that beautifully showcases her range and musicality. McKinney previously shared with Billboard, “I wrote ‘Just Like God’ to express my heart: While I try never to be surprised by what God does, I want to always remain in awe of him doing it…” “Just Like God,” reached number one on the Billboard Gospel National Airplay chart in 2022.
