Leela James is a soul singer-songwriter who has a way of making music about love, regret, dreams, and what means to be human. In 2006 she became part of the music scene with her debut album “A Change is Gonna Come” Now she’s back again with a new single and music video, “Right Back In It”. This new single is a follow-up from her 2021 #1 hit “Complicated”, which was written by Leela and Franci Richard, and produced by Rex Rideout. “Right Back In It” talks about the deep love and romance between two fugitives on the run.

According to Leela James, “My music is my art and I’m always excited to share my craft with the world. Right Back In It is special as it highlights the importance of getting back to yourself, getting back to love, and getting back to what makes you feel good.” The music video was filmed in Houston and produced by Dang Films. “Right Back In It” has a cameo from Houston-based rapper Lil Flip. Currently, she is touring with Maxwell, Fantasia, and Anthony Hamilton.
