( ENSPIRE Music ) Saint Elgin Collabs on Debut Single

Saint Elgin, a singer and songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland, recently released his debut musical collaboration with producer Ali Buckets. The duo’s “Holy Moan” explores themes of how love replenishes and provides a relaxing escape from the stressors of everyday life. The song was released on December 14, 2023, and is now available on all digital service providers. Stream and download “Holy Moan” here.
“Holy Moan” blends R&B and hip hop to tell a story through the song, something Saint Elgin has expressed the importance of in his music. The genre blend creates a unique and appealing listening experience; it also displays some of Saint Elgin’s influences, including Brandy, Frank Ocean, and James Fauntleroy. Alongside those artists, Saint Elgin also credits his collaborator, Ali Buckets, with inspiring his work as well. He has said that Ali’s work is both “[inspiring] and creates space for the ideas to shine.” when crafting a song. Before “Holy Moan,” Saint Elgin performed at Hip Hop Caucus ‘The Basement Series’ during Grammy Weekend in February 2023. The event, hosted by Dawn Richard (Danity Kane), also included performances from actress Angelica Ross (American Horror Story) and R&B artists India Shawn, J. Gordon, and Kia Harper.
Originating from Gary, Indiana, Ali Buckets is multi-talented and is becoming progressively sought after in the music industry. While only casually producing in the past, the producer has seen an immense growth in his ability to make beats and produce music, coinciding with returning to school to earn a master’s degree and receiving a MacBook. From there, he began to commit himself to his music and saw musical development. Currently, Ali Buckets focuses on creating ambient beats and impassioned soundscapes.
Ali Buckets has stated that working with Saint Elgin is “easy,” and the “friendship [they have] built over time” came from an initial chemistry that allowed the artists to collaborate so seamlessly.
Saint Elgin’s debut EP is set to release in 2024, featuring production from his “Holy Moan” collaborator, Ali Buckets.
