( ENSPIRE Business ) Jones Spreads Awareness For Those Diagnosed With CHF And Graves’ Disease
Karlettè Jones has built brands, created powerful narratives, and faced many health challenges thus far. With her background in Broadcasting, media, and voiceover work, in 2016, she established K-Way Branding LLC, a Public Relations Firm. With a Master’s Degree in Community Development from Prairie View A&M University, her PR Firm has served clients from diverse backgrounds, such as screenwriters, actors, fashion designers, cosmetic owners, authors, and sports. Through her passion for branding, PR, and business empowerment, Jones has battled health conditions and has readjusted her lifestyle to become the successful person she is.
She has battled Graves’ disease and congestive heart failure, besides the effects of thyroid and energy levels. Being diagnosed with these health conditions means the heart doesn’t pump blood efficiently, which leads to fatigue, shortness of breath, and swelling. Despite her many challenges, she is resilient and keeps pushing herself to work her way around them by being more self-aware and taking extra care of herself, so she is proficient in her health and job. Jones understands the hustle and bustle of work and family, and that many businesses and entrepreneurs may ignore CHF until it is too late. However, through her own health experiences and PR expertise, she provides the best of both worlds–teaching people that our health is just as important as success.

In what ways does K-Way Branding LLC stand out as a PR Firm? What services are offered, and what is discussed in the consultation calls?
K-Way Branding LLC stands out for its personalized approach, creative storytelling, and strong media connections in the beauty, entertainment, and fashion industries. Led by me, the agency offers services such as media outreach, brand development, press releases, event publicity, and influencer relations.
Consultation calls focus on understanding the client’s goals, audience, and current brand visibility. Karlettè uses this time to identify PR needs, outline strategy, and ensure the client is aligned with the firm’s vision and results-driven approach.
Share with us your process when offering services in Radio, Television, and Print & Magazine.
At K-Way Branding LLC, the process for securing media coverage in radio, television, and print/magazines is strategic and relationship-driven. The team begins by understanding the client’s story, brand voice, and media goals. From there, tailored media pitches are crafted to align with the specific outlet—whether it’s a radio interview, TV segment, or magazine feature.
My team and I leverage strong industry relationships and editorial insight to secure impactful placements. Each campaign includes media training, scheduling, and follow-up to ensure the client is well-prepared and the coverage aligns with brand messaging and visibility goals.
Can you share a specific moment or challenge where your passion for building K-Way Branding directly counteracted the physical limitations imposed by Graves’ disease and congestive heart failure? What did that experience teach you about your own resilience?
There was a moment I’ll never forget—right in the middle of preparing a major press campaign for one of our biggest clients, I was hospitalized due to complications from both Graves’ disease and congestive heart failure. My body felt like it was shutting down, but my mind wouldn’t rest because I knew what was at stake for my client and my agency. I remember lying in that hospital bed, laptop propped up, IV in my arm, still finalizing media talking points and sending out emails. It wasn’t about ignoring my health but honoring the passion and purpose that built K-Way Branding from the ground up.
That experience taught me that my resilience isn’t rooted in being “strong” all the time—it’s about being committed even in my weakest moments. It showed me that purpose can be a lifeline. When your body falters, passion can carry you. I learned to listen to my limits, not let them silence my calling. And most of all, I learned that rest and resilience can co-exist—you can fight for your dream and prioritize healing.
What concrete advice or actionable steps would you offer fellow female entrepreneurs and professionals to encourage a more sustainable and health-conscious approach to their ambitions?
As someone managing Graves’ Disease and Congestive Heart Failure, I have learned that health must come first, no matter how ambitious you are. My advice to fellow women in business is to redefine the hustle. Prioritize rest, set clear boundaries, and don’t be afraid to say no. Build a team you can trust, stay consistent with your doctor visits, and protect your peace, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Success is not sustainable without self-care. Your health is your greatest asset.
How has navigating these health management aspects influenced your leadership style and how you operate K-Way Branding LLC.? Have there been unexpected shifts that have positively impacted your business?
Navigating my health journey has deeply influenced my leadership style at K-Way Branding LLC. It taught me to lead with empathy, patience, and purpose. I’ve become more intentional about time management, creating space for rest and clarity—not just for myself, but for my team as well.
One unexpected but powerful shift has been learning to delegate more and trust my team’s strengths, which has allowed the business to grow. Prioritizing wellness has helped me operate with a clearer vision, a calmer spirit, and greater alignment in everything we do.
What are your long-term goals for how your personal experience can contribute to broader conversations and advocacy around health, entrepreneurship, and maintaining a thriving life?
My long-term goal is to use my personal journey as a bridge between health awareness and entrepreneurship, especially for women of color who often carry so much without pause. I want to be a voice reminding others that you can be ambitious and prioritize your well-being. Through speaking engagements, mentorship, and eventually launching wellness-centered initiatives for entrepreneurs, I hope to normalize conversations around chronic illness, burnout, and balance.
I believe we thrive when we lead whole, not just hard—and I’m committed to advocating for a version of success that includes health, happiness, and peace of mind.
