Bobbi Kristina Serenity House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to eliminating domestic violence and supporting survivors through advocacy, education, and essential services. To celebrate the life and legacy of Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, Bobby Brown and Alicia Etheridge Brown founded the house. Domestic violence tragically took her life in 2015. Bobbi Kristina Serenity House hosted its 5th annual Celebration of Serenity Sneaker Ball. On April 26, influential voices, celebrities, and changemakers celebrated the nonprofit’s work to end domestic violence. The evening featured an immersive “Serenity Casino” experience, including dinner and live musical performances. The organizers gave important awards to honor community leaders and advocates, showcasing their philanthropic impact.
Emmy hosted the Serenity Sneaker Ball, award-winning actor and comedian Anthony Anderson. The event honored organizations and individuals who have made a difference in their communities and presented three primary awards that evening. This year, Tina Knowles, fashion designer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, was honored with the Legacy Impact Award for her contributions to her community.

Her projects include the Knowles-Rowland Center for Youth in Houston, Texas, the Survivor Foundation, and Miss A Meal. Knowles’ recent non-profit, WACO Theater Center in Los Angeles, provides artists with a space for imaginative composition and offers mentorship programs to empower girls. Next, Tisha Campbell, an award-winning actress, singer, and advocate, received the Thriver Award for her resilience and advocacy for autism awareness initiatives. The Changemaker Award was given to Los Angeles Deputy Chief Ruby Flores, recognizing her commitment to public service.
Bobbi Kristina Serenity House helps survivors face challenges and permits them to take the first step to rebuilding their lives. Their well-known services include 24-hour crisis intervention and counseling support. Serenity Sneaker Ball is a reminder of all the effort the nonprofit has made, and a call to action for others to get involved and help those at risk. With its recent partnership with Brookview House, Bobbi Kristina Serenity House is expanding its mission to address mental health and homelessness. They can help women, children, and youth who experience homelessness and offer affordable housing. All the awards showcase how important everyone’s role is in ending domestic violence so that we can all lead by example.
