Snoop Dogg has told the world that he has never voted before but plans on doing so in the 2020 elections. In an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Real 92.3 LA that circulated Thursday, the Long Beach rapper said he does not need President Donald Trump in office anymore.

Snoop stated “I ain’t never cast a ballot a day in my life, yet this year I believe I will get out and vote since I can’t remain to see this punk in office one more year,” the “Gin and Juice” craftsman reacted to Big Boi’s inquiry posing to him his opinion of Trump and casting a ballot.

The 48-year-old rapper said he was persuaded that he wasn’t permitted to cast a ballot because of his criminal history. Snoop Dogg was indicted for a lawful offense in 1990 and again in 2007.

Snoop went on to say that 2020 was the year he was going to get out and vote because he wanted to back up his words with action. “For many years they had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn’t vote because you had a criminal record,” the rapper said. “I didn’t know that. My record’s been expunged so now I can vote.”

The rapper proceeded to urge everybody to remain safe protesting during the coronavirus pandemic and noticed that he’s been attempting to remain positive and isolate. He said even though he’s not out in the streets protesting, he’s still using his platform and his music to spread the message.
