Mark your calendars for the 6th Black Women in Media Conference & Awards for November 15 to November 20th, with the final awards ceremony occurring on the 20th from 6 pm until 10 pm EST. Not only is it a great event to celebrate the successes and triumphs and Black Women in media, but it also serves as an excellent opportunity to connect more with these women and other individuals who are interested in empowering and uplifting Black women, especially in the media space. 

The Black Women in Media Conference & Awards has been both a huge and important success in the past, with a wide variety of events including Fireside Chats, Career Advancement Panels, Tech Panels, and several Keynote speakers. All of these presentations and more have made previous iterations enormously beneficial for those wanting to learn the ins and outs of several different industries and how one can be particularly successful in those spaces as a Black Woman. With an all-new group of speakers, this year’s conference is sure to be an important tool for success and recognizing the many great and influential Black Women already influencing their workspaces.

The 6th Black Women in Media Conference & Awards seeks to provide prominent speakers and a large-scale environment associated with award shows of this size while still providing a safe environment to do so. To accomplish this, the sixth conference and awards will be a hybrid virtual (URL) and live (IRL) six-day experience gathering over 10,000 attendees, industry experts, decision-makers, Executives, Founders, and CEOs. #BWIMCon will launch with a fully virtual 5-day conference on November 15th-19th with a series of panels, speakers, masterclasses, fireside chats, an entertainment lounge, a beauty lounge, and a virtual mall featuring hundreds of Black-owned businesses. The awards ceremony will follow on Saturday, November 20th, from 6 pm until 10 pm EST. #BWIMAwards* will be a hybrid experience, with a virtual audience viewing the live-streamed awards ceremony. A select few will join us at an undisclosed location in NYC. The awards will recognize phenomenal Black women who have unquestionably dominated within their industry and platforms. The event will also recognize Black women within industries such as Communication, Media, Entertainment, and Tech.

Finally, if you plan to attend the 6th Black Women in Media Conference as a VIP Guest (In-person in NYC), you must provide proof of 1-3 days Negative Covid-19 status (including any other mutated variant) in order to be permitted on location. Whether you are vaccinated or not, we require all guests to wear masks. BWIM plans to follow all Covid-19 guidelines required by the CDC.
