We’ve seen several changes in the workplace as companies attempt to mitigate the difficulties presented by the pandemic, including unlimited PTO for employees, and the emphasis on mental health, diversity, and inclusion.

Miche’Lynne is the founder of MKK Bell Consulting LLC, a consulting firm that partners with organizations and offers HR consulting, strategic planning, and goal execution. She has led teams as big as 20,000, utilizing her expertise in recruitment, organizational development, employee relations, and compliance. ENSPIRE spoke with Miche’Lynne about her personal and professional experiences.

How has the pandemic affected your business? 

We’ve seen a positive uptick in business because of the pandemic. HR has helped to navigate organizations through employee leave, safety, and compliance issues. At the beginning of the pandemic, we were on calls every week with leaders from the organizations we serve, working out logistics, stay-at-home policies, and sadly even employees who became severely ill during the pandemic. 

What piqued your interest in HR?  

I’ve always wanted to reframe how HR is viewed. I want people to enjoy their jobs and not just look at it as a means to take care of their families. Training leaders has been very strategic and key in ensuring that people grow and flourish in their careers. 

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?  

Seeing growth in leaders. Leaders who listen and take in the feedback we provide grow by leaps and bounds. When this happens, the organization and the team become stronger and the customer becomes a raving fan. I love seeing this journey!
