Megan Thee Stallion fans, aka Thee Hotties, have been going wild with anticipation for Megan’s next big release. First, it was the cryptic social media posts. On Tuesday, Megan released a mysterious 20-second trailer “Traumazine.” Then when Megan started answering fan questions on Twitter, Thee Hotties knew Megan Thee Stallion’s newest album was on the horizon.

Now, it’s officially here! Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine dropped today, and people can’t stop talking about it. In an interview with Good Morning America, Megan discussed the hype surrounding her album saying, “At least from Thee Hotties that I know that I talked to on Twitter…I know we all been up since midnight.”

Fans are ecstatic and critics are raving, with some calling Traumazine a “brash, brilliant, searing confessional.” As of this morning, Traumazine is the #2 album in the US on iTunes and in the Top 10 on US Apple Music. The three-time grammy-winning superstar has done it once again!

On the Tonight Show, Megan Thee Stallion shared that this is the longest she’s ever worked on an album. “I feel like everybody knows me and they have like a perception of me based on probably what other people say or what they see on the Internet or, you know, just—it’s something that’s probably not me at all,” Megan expressed. “And I feel like this time around, I wanted to let everybody in my head and form their own opinion based off of my story. I wanted to take control of my own narrative.”

The 18-track album includes three previously released songs “Plan B,” “Pressurelicious,” and “Sweetest Pie.” Interestingly, while Traumazine is a very personal album for Megan, it features other artists on half the songs! These featured artists include Key Glock, Latto, Pooh Shiesty, Rico Nasty, Jhené Aiko, Lucky Daye, Future, Sauce Walka, Big Pokey, Lil’ Keke, and Dua Lipa. Megan Thee Stallion is sharing her story not only with these fellow artists but also with the world.

Rolling Stone seems to summarize the album best: “Traumazine is truly a whole mood.”
