Just In: The 2022 Latin Grammy Nominations

( ENSPIRE Entertainment ) Bad Bunny Leads With 10 Nominations, Including Album of The Year for Un Verano Sin Ti, Which Spent 11 Weeks on The Billboard Charts

The Academy announced the nominations Tuesday, Sept. 20 for the 23rd annual event taking place on Nov. 17. Some of Bad Bunny’s nominations are Record of The Year, Best Urban Fusion/Performance, Best Reggaeton Performance, Best Urban Music Album, and Best Rap/Hip Hop Song.

Mexican songwriter and producer Edgar Barrero has nine nominations including Song of the Year and Best Pop Song for “Índigo”, co-written by Camillo who earned six nominations. Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía have eight nominations. This makes Rosalía the leading female nominee.

This year’s event will reflect the musical diversity in the Latin industry. Reggaeton and urban music have dominated the charts for the last couple of years and have the highest representation across the categories however, pop, salsa, and alternative genres can be seen in the main categories as well.
