( ENSPIRE Community Spotlight ) Love & Hip Hop Star PHresher Treats Brooklyn Residents During the Holidays

Love & Hip Hop star PHresher and his wife Jenn Coreano, who appears on the series with him, have been spending the holiday season giving back to residents of their former neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. They recently collaborated with the restaurant Polygon, located at 299 Vandervort Ave, Brooklyn (IG @don_polygonbk), to prepare a feast for men and women in shelters and some of the area’s homeless population.
“I love doing this kind of stuff,” exclaimed PHresher, a recording artist and community activist, as he assisted in packing 150 hot meals, consisting of chicken, rice, and peas, delicious macaroni and cheese, and well-seasoned holiday stuffing. Bottled water and eating utensils accompanied the individually packaged dinners.
The hit recording artist was joined by team members and several volunteers, who donated part of their Thanksgiving weekend to spread cheer to the community’s underserved residents.
The meals were loaded up and delivered to the first destination, where shocked Brooklynites witnessed the high-energy performer descend from a van blasting music. As he danced his way into the hearts of excited passersby, he encouraged men at the Armory Men’s Shelter to help themselves to the meals as well as to an impressive array of free coats, shoes, jackets, and pants. Eager to try out the new outfits, residents needed no encouragement to take the goods with them.
PHresher, who makes a point of giving back to the community for significant holidays, shook hands with the men and posed for photos. “Post up,” he called out as video cameras rolled and cellphone cameras flashed. After heading toward a local subway station to donate additional meals and items, PHresher and his crew stopped by a women’s shelter. Some of the residents shed tears of joy at the sight of mouthwatering meals and bags filled with suits, heels, and jackets that will provide comfort and warmth through the chilly season.
PHresher will be giving back to the community this season with a Winter Wonderland toy drive at PS 328, Phyllis Wheatley School, 330 Alabama Ave, Brooklyn, NY, on December 18, 2021, from 12-4 pm. Donations from companies and private individuals are being accepted.
