( ENSPIRE Entertainment ) TV One’s Docuseries Unsung and Uncensored Returned Last Sunday, Featuring New Guests Each Week

TV One’s two original docuseries, Unsung and Uncensored, tell the stories we’ve never heard from the celebrities we all know and love. All-new episodes of TV One’s original docu-series, Unsung and Uncensored, returned last Sunday, April 10, featuring CeeLo Green and Das EFX. Unsung led with hip-hop pioneers, Das EFX, at 9 p.m. ET/8C followed by Uncensored, which features singer, actor and record producer, CeeLo Green, at 10 p.m. ET/9C. Each episode was also published on TVOne.tv and TV One’s social media platforms.

TV One’s signature music biography series, Unsung, spotlights entertainment’s most influential and talented artists. Last week’s episode highlighted chart-topping group, Das EFX. The group gained popularity in the early 90’s for their animated flow that birthed a new sound in hip-hop called the iggity flow. With #1 hits including “They Want EFX” and “Mic Checka,” Das EFX achieved platinum success during a career that has spanned three decades.

Unsung, one of the network’s longest-running series, highlights the careers and explores the personal lives of some of the most talented, versatile, and influential Black vocal artists. The seven-time NAACP Image Award-winning series continues the season to highlight some of the biggest stars of the 90s and 2000s.

New upcoming episodes of TV One’s Unsung include: Unsung 90’s – All 4 One, airing April 17, and
Unsung 2000s – Keak Da Sneak and Tweet, airing April 24.

Unsung is narrated by actor Gary Anthony Williams and is executive produced by Frank Sinton and Arthur Smith of A. Smith & Co. Productions. Mark Rowland, Kysha Mounia and Jamecia Blount also serve as Executive Producers. For TV One, Jason Ryan is Executive Producer in Charge of Production, and Donyell Kennedy-McCullough is Senior Director of Talent & Casting.

The hit autobiographical series, Uncensored, explores the lives of your favorite personalities as they provide first-hand accounts of their success and the obstacles they faced throughout their careers. This week’s episode highlights singer, actor, and producer, CeeLo Green. Decorated with five Grammy awards and countless #1s, he has tasted success as a solo artist in addition to being the frontman of Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley. Orphaned at the age of 18, he had a troubled youth that was full of depression and challenges. Determined to make it big in life despite all the hardships, he worked hard to build the prosperous, multi-faceted career that he has been afforded. Now, he discusses his journey in his upcoming episode of Uncensored.

TV One’s upcoming new episodes of Uncensored will feature Erica Campbell on April 17, and
Trina on April 24.
