RCA Inspiration, formerly Verity Gospel Music Group, was established by Jive Records in 1994. The label specializes in producing Gospel Music, representing artists such as Donald Lawrence, Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Kierra Sheard, Mali Music, Le’Andria Johnson, Koryn Hawthorne, and more. In 2016 RCA Inspiration started operating under Provident Music Group, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. Now, the label is based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Besides the six above nominations, Maverick City Music earned two other nominations. One was in the category of Best Contemporary Christian Music for their song “God Really Loves Us (Radio Version).” Another was in Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for their album “Breathe.” The renowned choir group’s collaboration with Franklin is just one in a long series of albums the group has made.

Kirk Franklin is one of the label’s most decorated artists. Franklin was the owner of Fo Yo Soul Music, which was acquired alongside RCA Inspiration by BMG in 2002. Franklin is a gospel singer/songwriter and choirmaster known for hits like “God Provides,” “Wanna Be Happy,” and “Love On The Radio,” all of which he has won Grammys for. In fact, Franklin has won 16 Grammys in total. He and the choir group Maverick City Music haven’t just collaborated on “Kingdom Book One (Deluxe),” but will complete their Kingdom Tour together this month. But you will see plenty more of Franklin throughout the holidays, as he will appear at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as producing and starring in the Lifetime Christmas movie “Kirk Franklin’s The Night Before Christmas.”

“Clarity” is DOE’s debut album. The Grammys aren’t her only nominations – she has also been nominated for Favorite Gospel Artist at the upcoming American Music Awards. Her discography includes a series of singles and one 5-song EP titled “DOE.” She has collaborated with artists such as Jonathan McReynolds, Wande, Essential Worship, and others. DOE’s latest single was “En Ti Yo Esperaré,” featuring TWICE. DOE will embark on a solo A Night of Clarity Tour throughout December, playing in multiple cities.
